حصل نجم فريق ليفربول محمد صلاح على تقييم جيد بعدما شارك في مباراة الأمس أمام لايبزيج في بطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا.

وتلاقى الفريقان في إطار منافسات ذهاب دور الـ16 من البطولة، في ملعب بوشكاش آرينا حيث فاز ليفربول بهدفين دون رد.

وحسب شبكة “هوسكورد” العالمية، حصل محمد صلاح على تقييم بلغ 7.3/10 حيث أوضحت أنه استحوذ على الكرة بنسبة 3%، وبلغت نسبة تمريراته الصحيحة 78 %.

ولم يدخل صلاح في أي صراعات هوائية أو مراوغات، وتدخل على الخصم مرتين.

وفقد صلاح الاستحواذ على كرته مرة واحدة فقط، وصوب تسديدتين تجاه المرمى.

أعلن شوقي غريب المدير الفني لمنتخب مصر الأوليمبي، عن مواعيد مباريات الفراعنة خلال بطولة أولمبياد طوكيو المقبلة.

ومن المقرر أن يشارك منتخب مصر الأوليمبي، في أولمبياد طوكيو، بعد التتويج ببطولة أمم إفريقيا تحت 23 عاماً التي أقيمت في مصر نوفمبر 2019.

وقال غريب خلال تصرحيات لقناة أون تايم سبورت عبر برنامج “مساء أون تايم”: “وصل لنا جدول مبارياتنا في الأولمبياد وستكون 22/7 أول مباراة في الأولمبياد، و25/7 ثاني المباريات، و28/7 ثالث مباراة، وستجرى القرعة في إبريل المقبل”.

وأضاف: “هناك عروض من منتخبات من أجل اللعب معاها ولكن لم نتفق مع أحد حتى الآن، خاصة وأن الدول الأوروبية تغلق مطاراتها، وهذا يعيق عملية الاتفاقات، ونحن نحاول أن نجري مباريات مع المنتخبات الأوروبية في مصر”.

وتابع: “يتواجد لاعبين جيدين ظهورا بشكل جيد مثل إبراهيم عادل (بيراميدز) والعربي بدر (الجونة) وأسامة فيصل (الزمالك) هؤلاء على سبيل المثال يشاركون بصفة أساسية مع أنديتهم، ولكن نحن نلعب الآن في الوقت الضائع، ويتبقى معسكران للمنتخب الأولمبي في مارس ويونيو”.

وتطرق شوقي غريب للحديث علي مستوي رمضان صبحي مع بيراميدز، في الفترة الحالية، قائلاً: “رمضان صبحي هو قائد المنتخب الأولمبي ولا غنى عنه، وعملية انتقاله إلى ناد آخر لا يعنيني، كل لاعب وله فكره، رمضان لعب نهائي إفريقيا وعمره 18 عامًا”.

وأكمل: “أتمنى أن نقدم لمصر مجموعة لاعبين يستطيعون إعادة الكرة المصرية إلى منصات التتويج، هو يمر بمرحلة ولكن في النهاية هو لاعب كرة قدم ينفذ تعليمات المدير الفني”.

عن أحمد حمدي المحترف ضمن صفوف مونتريال الكندي، ولاعب الأهلي السابق، أوضح: “هو من نوعية اللاعبين التي تفضل الاحتراف، عندما كان في الأهلي كان يصل له عروض كبيرة، ولم يكن يمنعه عن الانضمام إلى المنتخب إلا الإصابات، لاعب يمتلك دوافع كثيرة لبلده ويريد تقديم شئ، هو لاعب مميز وسأتابع مبارياته في كندا”.

وبسؤاله هل استقريت على الثلاثة لاعبين الكبار، للانضمام إلي المنتخب الأليمبي، أتم حديثه قائلاً: “الوحيد الذي تحدثنا عن ضمه هو محمد صلاح نجم الفراعنة وليفربول الإنجليزي، وطلبته من عمرو الجنايني وطلبته بعد ذلك من أحمد مجاهد، وعن المركزين الأخريين، فأنا لا أعلم الظروف القادمة، نحن نعمل من أجل تحقيق هدف ونختار اللاعبين الذين سيساعدونا على ذلك”.

Olympique Lyonnais star Moussa Dembele will be on Manchester United’s shortlist of centre-forwards should Romelu Lukaku leave for Internazionale, according to Sky Sports News.

United are willing to sell Lukaku, however, after rejecting a £54m bid from Inter, are waiting for the right price.

Talks between Inter and the Old Trafford giants have reached a stalemate, with the Italian club wary they must meet financial fair play rules to move for the Belgian forward.

Dembele is seen as a centre-forward as opposed to Nicolas Pepe, who the club have also been linked with, who is seen as a winger.

Links with Dembele would make sense, given the realism over signing the forward as opposed to other targets. Earlier in the summer’s transfer window, Manchester United were linked with a move for Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The links were shot down immediately with Unai Emery saying he won’t be willing to sell the striker.

You can see why Manchester United would put Dembele on their shortlist for strikers to sign after the last few seasons the France youth international has had. In the past three seasons, Dembele has scored a massive 71 goals in all competitions for both Celtic and Lyon.

Looking at the current lack of forwards in the transfer market, you could argue that Dembele represents both the most realistic and best option for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

As mentioned above, any deal for Aubameyang has already been shot down.

So we come back full circle to Dembele, and after looking at his goalscoring record in two different leagues in Europe, he looks to be the natural goalscorer who can fill the potential void left by Lukaku.

Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller believes the club could end up getting as much as £10m if James Tavernier left the club, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

What’s he said?

Miller played alongside the Rangers captain during his most recent spell at Ibrox so is well placed to offer a bit of insight on the full-back’s ability.

Manager Steven Gerrard admitted back in May he was expecting bids for Tavernier this summer, but to date there has been no serious move from any interested parties.

Miller thinks that when the time comes, the Ibrox outfit can expect to receive a healthy fee.

As quoted by The Scottish Sun, the new Partick Thistle signing said:

“One of my best mates, Gary Caldwell, sold him from Wigan. I was asking why would he let him go from League One in England to play for Rangers.

“But Tav has got better and better. He’s now huge for Rangers and they won’t want to lose him. I don’t think they’ll let him go on the cheap.

“They could end up getting £10m for him, so he’s been a really good investment. I don’t think you’ll get another Tav for £200,000 in this day and age. He’s grown into the club and he really cherishes it now. It would take something special for him to leave.”

Can Rangers afford to lose him?

Tavernier is not just a key member of the Rangers defensive line and a dressing room leader as captain, but also a massive contributor when it comes to their attacking output.

Last season he scored an incredible 17 goals, also assisting on 20 occasions, linking up with attackers such as Alfredo Morelos and Daniel Candeias from the right flank.

Replacing that kind of contribution would be hugely difficult for Rangers, especially from a right-back.

If any bids do come in for the 27-year-old this summer, as Gerrard expects, then the club will have to think seriously about whether to cash in on him or not.

Losing such an important player could be a critical blow when it comes to their attempt at winning the league next term.

After the March internationals and West Ham United’s Declan Rice’s first two England appearances against the Czech Republic and Montenegro respectively, the latter of which he started, it became apparent that the 20-year-old was now a first choice in central defensive midfield for Gareth Southgate.

And that was proved once again on Thursday evening with the Academy of Football product starting for the Three Lions in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals against the Netherlands.

The centre-back turned midfielder was played in a line of three in front of the defence, sandwiched between Fabian Delph of Manchester City and Ross Barkley of Chelsea.

It was Rice who shone the brightest out of the trio in the 3-1 loss, which saw a Matthijs de Ligt header, a Kyle Walker own-goal and Quincy Promes finish cancel out a first-half Marcus Rashford penalty on a calamitous night for England’s defence.

However, the former Republic of Ireland man still found himself on the end of some harsh words from around the footballing world for his display, being accused of starting too slowly, being too negative and not offering enough of an option out for the centre-backs as the centre of the park was dominated by Ronald Koeman’s men.

However, the WhoScored statistics in the above infographic prove that Rice’s critics are wrong to hound his performance against the Dutch in his nation’s second successive major semi-final defeat.

In 106 minutes on the pitch before being replaced by Dele Alli at half-time in extra-time, the number 16 maintained a highly impressive 96% pass success rate.

He also registered two tackles and weighed in with a team-high four interceptions on his Nations League debut.

Rice achieved all of this without giving away one foul, a show of perfect timing from the man tipped to follow in the footsteps of the late great Bobby Moore by none other than Jamie Carragher (Sky Sports via Football.London).

What really makes people who were accusing him of being negative look stupid is the fact the he attempted two dribbles, from the holding midfield role.

These figures prove that Rice was far from poor in the biggest match of his career so far, and in fact he was one of his side’s best performers on the evening and the finger of blame truly deserves to be pointed elsewhere.

This season, Roy Hodgson has been very flexible at Crystal Palace when it has come to formations.

The Eagles boss has had no problem with using a 4-4-2 in one game, then a 4-3-3 in another.

And it is something he is likely to continue doing in the next campaign, especially if he loses his talisman Wilfried Zaha, with a transfer to former club Manchester United currently being mooted (The Telegraph).

Hodgson, however, should look towards using a 4-2-3-1 on a more permanent basis if Zaha does end up leaving Selhurst Park.

The Ivorian’s departure would almost certainly leave a creative void in Crystal Palace’s team, and switching to a formation such as the 4-2-3-1 might just be the thing that helps Hodgson to fill it.

Realistically, the Eagles are going to find it hard to find a like-for-like replacement for Zaha who is of equal ability.

Bearing that in mind, getting three attackers into the side behind a striker, which the 4-2-3-1 allows, may be the way to go.

In the likes of Andros Townsend and Max Meyer, Hodgson already has a couple of decent offensive options.

After using the Zaha money to reinforce that area, Hodgson could have the tools to field a very good three-man attack, one more capable of making up for the Ivory Coast international’s loss than a sole like-for-like replacement.

As far as life after Zaha goes, 4-2-3-1 could just be what Crystal Palace need to get by.

Manchester United could be set for a massive clearout this summer as they look to fund a massive rebuild under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Some big players are expected to move away from the club, while there are also bound to be plenty of incomings too.

However, it is the outgoings who will be of interest to many United fans, with so many players in the Red Devils’ squad failing to perform and being firmly under the microscope in terms of their futures at Old Trafford.

One man who could well be on his way it Matteo Darmian, who has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League and has yet to show anywhere his best sort of form.

Darmian has been strongly linked with a move away to Inter Milan, and we here in the Tavern feel that this is something United simply have to make the most of.

Despite being a player who has talent, Darmian just hasn’t done the business for United, and with the club struggling and under so much pressure to build a new exciting squad, Darmian might well find himself as one of the first names on Ole Solskjaer’s list of players to move on.

United will be glad to get some of their money back for Darmian, and there is little doubt he will succeed in over in his homeland under the right manager and team around him.

For United though, this is a move which makes all kind of sense and is something they should be looking to wrap up as soon as possible.

It’s all set to be a massive summer for Chelsea as they club have plenty of big decisions hanging over them.

The futures of manager Mauro Sarri as well as superstar attacker Eden Hazard remain up in the air, and there is the impending transfer ban which looms over the club too.

However, Chelsea will no doubt be ploughing along with their plans in the hope of overturning any ban, and this week news has emerged that the club could be set to make a move for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe, who has been in fine form over in France the last 12 months.

Pepe certainly looks the part based on his stats and showings this season, and 19 goals this season along with 13 assists in the league tell a very impressive story.

However, the Blues would be wise to not put all their eggs in one basket so to speak, and we here in the Tavern feel splashing the reported £70m fee on Pepe could be a massive risk.

While there is little doubting his ability, where is the consistency in his game and proof over a number of seasons he is going to succeed? Chelsea need ready made players, and there’s every chance that Pepe isn’t quite ready to make the same impact in the Premier League just yet.

Add to this the fact the club have Callum Hudson-Odoi right under their noses, and it once again could be a big blow to the young talent at the Bridge who are hoping to be given a first team chance.

Pepe will no doubt get a move away from Lille and could well be a big success, but Chelsea should definitely tread a bit carefully if they are eyeing the 23-year-old as the next Eden Hazard.
