مزح المدير ماسيمليانو أليجري حول عدد فرص التهديف الضائعة ليوفنتوس في الفوز 2-0 على جنوى، وشرح الخلاف على خط التماس مع لاعبه ألفارو موراتا والمشادة بينهما.

كان هذا هو الفوز الرابع ليوفنتوس في آخر خمس مباريات بالدوري الإيطالي، وبالتأكيد لم يفتقروا إلى فرص التهديف مع 27 تسديدة، بينها 12 على المرمى، لكن حارس مرمى جنوى سالفاتور سيريجو قدم أداءً بطوليًا.

وقال أليجري لـ”DAZN”: “أعتقد أننا أردنا تعزيز مكانتنا عندما يتعلق الأمر بتحويل النسبة المئوية لفرص التسجيل إلى أهداف! أعتقد أننا الأسوأ في الدوري الإيطالي، لذا أردنا دمج هذه الإحصائيات!”.

وأضاف: “لقد استمتعت بمشاهدة الفريق يلعب هذا المساء، كما فعلت في مباريات أخرى، حتى عندما خسرنا، لا يمكننا تحسين فعاليتنا إلا أمام المرمى، وهذا أمر مؤكد”.

كان هناك خلاف ومشادة بين أليجري وموراتا، الذي تم استبداله بعد بطاقة صفراء للاعتراض، ثم استمر في الجدال مع مدربه.

وأوضح أليجري: “لقد تلقى بطاقة صفراء وكان يواصل المجادلة، لذلك فضلت استبداله، إنه أمر مخيب للآمال، حيث لعب ألفارو بشكل جيد وكذلك فعل الفريق بأكمله”.

وعن خطته 4-3-2-1 في مباراة الليلة، أفاد مدرب يوفنتوس: “بنتانكور ولوكاتيلي يجلبان الجودة والكم، مانويل أكثر كفاءة ورودريجو أكثر كمًا، لكنه يتحسن في الطريقة التي يلعب بها الكرة، فقد اعتاد على التمريرات القصيرة، لكننا نحتاج إلى أن يكون الجميع جيدًا في التمريرات القصيرة والطويلة لتحريك المهاجمين”.

واستطرد بشأن هدف باولو ديبالا: “أعتقد أن العديد من أهداف ديبالا كانت وصوله إلى حافة منطقة الجزاء عندما يضعها المهاجم، هذه هي خصائصه”.

وأكمل: “الثلاثة خلف موراتا لديهم درجة معينة من الحرية، ربما أقل من كولوسيفسكي لأنه لا يريد العبور مع ديبالا، الشيء المهم هو أننا امتلكنا العقلية الصحيحة طوال 90 دقيقة”.

لا يزال يوفنتوس على بعد سبع نقاط من المراكز الأربعة الأولى، مع أتالانتا ونابولي وإنتر وميلان في المقدمة.

وعلّق أليجري: “في هذه اللحظة، نحن في المركز الخامس مع فيورنتينا، كان من المهم الفوز اليوم، الأربعة الأوائل يقومون بعمل جيد للغاية ويستحقون مراكزهم حاليًا، ولا أعرف ماذا سيحدث في نهاية الموسم إذا تغيرت الأمور”.

Manchester United will be all too aware that they can move above Manchester City in the Premier League as they prepare for today’s clash at Southampton.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side currently sit behind City in the table but can move above their fierce rivals if they beat the Saints on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils return to Premier League action for the first time since beating West Bromwich Albion in a 1-0 win at Old Trafford as they travel to St Mary’s to take on Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side, who are unbeaten in their past seven games in all competitions so far this season.

United battered Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday evening and may look to keep most of the same team in place for what could be another big game for Solskjaer.

You’d expected United to get at least something against the Saints; after all, they haven’t lost in the last nine times the two sides have met.

Solskjaer could hand second-choice goalkeeper Dean Henderson his first start for his boyhood club in the Premier League amid reports that he is expected to replace David de Gea between the sticks.

It’s hard to imagine many changes to the back four, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Alex Telles and Harry Maguire likely to start. Maybe Victor Lindelof could keep his place, although there are concerns over his match fitness, so we’re backing Axel Tuanzebe to earn a recall as he has impressed in the Champions League so far this season.

Both Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba reportedly face a race against time to be declared fit to face Southampton at St Mary’s, whilst Jesse Lingard has returned to first-team training after completing a period of self-isolation.

Whilst Sunday’s game may come too soon for Pogba, it’s unlikely the Frenchman will start, which provides Solskjaer with the perfect opportunity to test Donny van de Beek.

Edinson Cavani offered very little going forwards against Istanbul in the Champions League, so switching Marcus Rashford back to the left and bringing Mason Greenwood back into the starting line-up on the right could be a shrewd move, whilst Anthony Martial is likely to lead the line.

Tottenham Hotspur romped to a resounding victory in the Europa League on Thursday evening, defeating Ludogorets in their own back yard 3-1, and whilst Jose Mourinho will be happy with his side’s reaction, he himself is playing a rather risky game.

The north Londoners finally ended their hunt for a back-up striker after they brought in Carlos Vinicius on loan from Benfica, paying £2.7m in fees with an option-to-buy thought to be around €45m (£40.5m).

Although, the Brazilian powerhouse has struggled thus far but he isn’t the man to be blamed.

The 25-year-old scored 18 goals in 32 league appearances last season and has failed to get off the mark for his new club in three Europa League matches, per WhoScored.

On Thursday night, Vinicius was granted another opportunity – replacing Harry Kane at half-time – but failed to impress. Football.London’s Alasdair Gold graded his second-half display a 4/10, and said:

“Another 45 minutes for Spurs’ number 45, he skied an opportunity moments after the hosts’ goal which perhaps summed up his night. Worked hard but his quality was sorely lacking in the final third and this was the least promising of his three appearances so far.”

Well, it’s no surprise that he’s lacking in confidence after he was wrongly part of the four players that were hauled off during last week’s defeat to Royal Antwerp.

Mourinho launched a scathing attack on his squad, claiming that his future choices would now be “very easy,” It was a warning shot at the likes of Vinicius, Dele Alli and Steven Bergwijn.

The Benfica loanee would then be left out of their Premier League win over Brighton at the weekend.

At Ludogorets, Vinicius at three shots – none on target – and also won just 33% of his duels, was offside once and lost possession five times, via SofaScore.

Dubbed “exciting” by Spurs legend Glenn Hoddle on BT Sport (via the Daily Mail), Mourinho is on verge of making a huge blunder over his no.2 striker – they surely do not want another Dele Alli situation on their hands.

Nor will they want Vinicius to follow the same path of Roberto Soldado or Vincent Janssen. That would be inexcusable after Daniel Levy backed him to the hills this summer.

According to an update by TuttoJuve, Tottenham Hotspur have lodged a bid to sign Juventus defender Merih Demiral with a fee of around £27.3 million – but the Serie A giants reportedly turned down a huge offer from both Daniel Levy and fellow Premier League side Everton. 

Demiral, who started just five league games for the Old Lady last season due to injury, still managed to impress in that time – averaging a 92% pass accuracy and making 2.5 clearances per match (WhoScored).

These glimpses of quality have arguably swayed Spurs into Demiral’s direction despite a lengthy spell on the sidelines over 19/20 due to a cruciate ligament rupture, with Everton also displaying a firm interest as per this report.

Indeed, both clubs have submitted £27.3 million offers to Juve in their search for defenders, but it appears Tottenham may have to look elsewhere for a Milan Skriniar alternative after their proposal was rejected.

The 6ft 4 star, deemed ‘brimming with confidence’ at one stage before his injury by Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri, was preferred over fellow elite centre-half Matthijs de Ligt last year in flashes.

Now, with his market value hovering around the £24.3 million mark (Transfermarkt), Tottenham may need a much larger sum given Juve’s stance on their latest bid.

A 13-cap international for his native Turkey, it’s clear that Demiral does possess enough quality to succeed in England’s top flight based off his past plaudits – with Skriniar negotiations still a work of progress and the 22-year-old now emerging as a potential secondary choice.

Whether or not Spurs come back with a new and improved offer remains to be seen, but landing the colossus would arguably be a good bit of business.

Lyon’s Houssem Aouar has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in the ongoing summer transfer window. The 22-year-old midfielder is certainly a hot prospect in the market and it doesn’t exactly come as a surprise following his great season over in France.

Arsenal are one of the firm admirers of the player and Mikel Arteta has already submitted a £31.2m transfer offer that also included one of the Gunners’ own player.

However, according to the latest reports from RMC Sport (via TalkSPORT), Lyon have now rejected the offer as they still value their star at around £45m.

Of course, we don’t exactly know the identity of the player who was reportedly offered to the French outfit but there is some suspicion it might have been Matteo Guendouzi. Seeing how he has been frozen out of the squad by Arteta, it would make sense for the Gunners to try and offload him this summer.

Manchester City were also one of the clubs mentioned as interested in Aouar but so far, it seems that Arsenal are in a better position or simply pushing for the transfer more.

Be that as it may, Arteta will still have to improve his offer if he is to land the coveted 22-year-old. Nowadays, no player comes cheap, especially a young star such as Aouar.

Only time will tell how successful Arsenal will be in their pursuit.

Verdict

Adding one of the players into the deal does seem like a good opportunity for Arsenal to offload some of the ‘deadwood’ from the team. However, it’s becoming painfully obvious that Lyon value their star too much to just accept any player from the Emirates.

For that reason, it would be wise for Arteta to up his offer just a little bit unless he wants to see this big opportunity pass him by.

أعلن نادي آرسنال، في بيان رسمي اليوم الخميس، موعد عودة لاعب وسط الفريق محمد النني إلى التدريبات، بعد تعافيه من الإصابة.

وكان النادي اللندني قد أعلن في 9 سبتمبر الماضي إصابة النني في أوتار الركبة، مُشيرًا إلى أنه سيغيب لمدة 3 أسابيع.

ولكن يبدو أن النني تعافي من الإصابة أكثر مما كان متوقعًا، حيث أوضح النادي أن لاعبنا المصري سيعود إلى التدريبات الأسبوع المقبل.

And now, his teammates are ribbing him too. In a Q&A session wih SPORTbible (via The Metro), Paul Pogba trolled Jones by claiming that the centre-back is the most likely player to score a bizarre own-goal.

After hearing the Frenchman’s dig, United fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on what the midfielder had to say.

A couple of fans however seemed rather unimpressed with what Pogba had to say, with one supporter calling him “very unprofessional” and another raising his eyebrows at why the Frenchman felt the need to answer the question in the first place.

Pogba and United fans may not have the most strongest of relationships, but this is clearly one of those times where they’re in agreement.

The Frenchman’s hilarious dig at Jones was no doubt all in jest, and at a time like this, being able to laugh and smile is something we should all treasure.

Jones may be the only one not seeing the funny side of it.

Meanwhile, Man Utd would be making a foolish mistake by snubbing this star.
