Tottenham Hotspur coach Ryan Mason was left seething with what he was seeing on Monday night at Goodison Park with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg a big culprit.

What did Hojbjerg do wrong?

Monday night offered Spurs with an opportunity to start afresh ahead of the remaining 10 Premier League games of the season on the back of Antonio Conte's departure.

It also provided the players with an opportunity to send the Italian a message following his fiery press conference post-Southampton where he called his squad out.

However, Spurs reverted to type and threw away what would've been an important three points against one of the league's strugglers.

The Lilywhites have four seriously challenging fixtures coming up so three points felt like a must as their hopes of Champions League football took yet another blow.

Standing on the sidelines, Mason was left seething with how sloppy Spurs were proving to be on the ball with the £100k-per-week midfielder, Hojberg, one of the main culprits.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold shared the 31-year-old's visible anger at what he was witnessing from the Spurs players at Goodison Park:

(18:25) "And you could see this growing frustration on the sideline from not only Stellini but Ryan Mason was getting very annoyed and very agitated."

"Yeah, there was a few of those before and after a Hojbjerg ball I saw him doing that [waving his arms] and going a bit mad."

How bad was Hojbjerg against Everton?

The 27-year-old midfielder has been a key feature in the Spurs side since arriving from Southampton a few years ago and he has played over 2500 minutes in the league this season alone.

And it has to be said, the Dane made an impressive start to the campaign under Conte having netted four league goals before the turn of the year (via Transfermarkt).

However, his performance on Merseyside left a lot to be desired with Gold awarding him a mere 4/10 in his post-match player ratings.

Hojbjerg was heavily involved in the game having registered 108 touches of the ball throughout the 90 minutes, but he was also guilty of losing it 15 times (via SofaScore).

And it was the areas in which he was losing the ball which were proving seriously frustrating for the coaches as his slack passing was seeing Spurs fail to relieve the pressure on their defence.

But the issue Cristian Stellini has is the lack of options available now as a result of the long-term injuries to the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma.

This has left the Italian with only Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp and Pape Matar Sarr to select from his first team options.

Given the huge fixtures against their top-four rivals over the next three weeks, this makes it almost impossible to imagine Stellini would be willing to drop the Dane in favour of the 20-year-old, Sarr.

Tottenham Hotspur have 'definitely' looked at appointing Brentford boss Thomas Frank as Spurs search for a new manager, according to Alasdair Gold.

All eyes are on chairman Daniel Levy and who he may appoint to succeed Antonio Conte, with it now being over three weeks since the Italian parted company.

Despite Spurs still being well in contention for a top-four Premier League finish, tension boiled over when Conte launched a scathing post-match rant after their recent 3-3 draw at Southampton, eventually spelling the end of his tenure.

Having left north London, Conte's exit has paved the way for a host of managers to be linked with the post.

While interim boss Cristian Stellini and assistant coach Ryan Mason take charge in the meantime, Levy may be working on Conte's replacement in the background.

Perhaps most notably, the likes of Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann stand out as the big three who have been linked with a move to Spurs – while Zinedine Zidane was also rumoured to be a target by Sky Sports.

In-work managers aren't completely ruled out either, as the likes of Arne Slot and Vincent Kompany reportedly entice Spurs.

Now, sharing an update on the Tottenham managerial search, reliable football.london correspondent Gold has made a claim on Bees boss Frank.

When asked how likely it is the 49-year-old could get the job, the reporter explained in a Q&A:

"Thomas Frank will definitely have been looked at. He's done a great job at Brentford but I wonder whether Spurs see him as enough of a name or trophy winner. They seem to have been drawn to those types in recent years."

While he may not arguably be as prestigious a candidate as Pochettino and Nagelsmann, we believe Frank could be a solid outside contender.

Simon Phillips has backed future Chelsea Christopher Nkunku transfer to be a "really good signing".

As per trusted transfer source Fabrizio Romano, the RB Leipzig attacker has already agreed to join the Blues and will become a Premier League player in July 2023.

No doubt, this will be a really exciting deal as Nkunku will arrive in England with a big reputation. Indeed, he has 64 goals and 52 assists in 164 outings at his current club.

Seeing as Chelsea are currently struggling for goals right now – having scored just once in their last five games across all competitions – they could really use the 25-year-old right.

However, the Blues will have to make do with the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix until the end of the season.

And while speaking to Football FanCast, Phillips suggested that Nkunku could potentially come in and provide a better option to the attack with Mudryk underperforming and Felix's future uncertain while only on loan from Atletico Madrid.

He said: "But I think Nkunku, going back to him, he's a very tidy player, a very good player. He can do a bit of everything.

"You know, he can come up with goals, he can create goals. And that's exactly what Chelsea had been missing in his current squad right now.

"And he's a player who is still young, he is just going to get better and better and develop. And I do think that this one will prove to be a really good signing.

"Perhaps, you know, the area on the pitch that he plays, he operates from more on on the left. There's question marks about signing Mudryk and spending £88m on him, and what will happen with Felix who also likes to operate in a similar area.

"But in terms of Mason Mount, I think they're two different positions and two different players."

Have Mudryk and Felix been Chelsea flops?

Interestingly, Liverpool turned down the chance to sign the midfielder last summer.

As alluded to by Phillips, Mudryk hasn't really made a fast start to life in England. Indeed, he has often been slammed by fans for his displays and the £97k-p/w star is still yet to score a first goal.

Felix hasn't necessarily done that much better either – with two goals, zero assists and one red card in 14 games – so maybe Nkunku could outshine them both.

After all, he has 17 goals and five assists in all competitions this term. If he can bring that form to the Premier League, Chelsea certainly would be landing a special talent.

ومن جانب آخر، أوضح هيثم عرابي رد فعل المدرب البرتغالي ريكاردو فورموسينيو بعد توقيع عقوبة عليه من قبل اتحاد الكرة، بسبب مكالمة مورينيو، قائلاً: “هو تقبل العقوبة وقال إنه لم يقصد”.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has 'glowing references' from plenty of figures inside Parkhead due to his success at the club, according to journalist Dean Jones.

Following Rangers' 2-0 defeat away to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership last weekend, Celtic now require just three points to be crowned champions for the second year running under Postecoglou.

The Hoops now have the chance to seal the league title next weekend at Tynecastle against Hearts of Midlothian while they are also in contention to record a historic domestic treble this term.

Having already secured the Viaplay Cup earlier this year, Celtic could also progress to the final of the Scottish Cup this Sunday if they navigate a way past bitter rivals Rangers at Hampden Park.

Postecoglou's success at Celtic hasn't gone under the radar, with reports emerging last month that he had been shortlisted for the vacant head coach position at Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, as per Football Insider.

Intriguingly, The Guardian also revealed last week that the Australian coach had emerged as a surprise contender to take over at Chelsea, having made the final four of their managerial shortlist.

Speaking to Football FanCast, Jones thinks that Postecoglou has earned the full respect of everyone involved with the Glasgow giants due to the job he has done at the club.

Jones told FFC: "Postecoglou's got a really good reputation in the game, anyone that works with him seems to have glowing references about him as a person and the effect that he has on them.

"I imagine he has that effect on them and the relationship with his players that he probably has that with officials inside the club too and they can have these open conversations."

How far can Ange Postecoglou take Celtic in the coming years?

Celtic have been almost imperious domestically this campaign, dropping just seven points from a possible 99 in their 33 Scottish Premiership matches.

O'Shea now boasts 107 appearances for the Baggies, with seven goals and two assists under his belt, and it seems likely that he will be one of the key players for Corberan again next season, with promotion surely the aim after such a transformative spell under the former Huddersfield boss.

Across 37 appearances in the second tier so far this term, the Irish centre-back has averaged a strong 6.97 rating from WhoScored, which is only bettered by Okay Yokuslu and John Swift (both 7.02) in West Brom's squad, which emphasises just how important he has become at the Hawthorns.

How much is Dara O'Shea worth now?

Unsurprisingly, O'Shea's emergence as a regular for both West Brom and the Republic of Ireland, for whom he has 17 caps, has seen his market value rocket in recent years.

According to Transfermarkt, the Irishman's market value in 2019 was around €150k (£135k), whereas he is now valued at €5m (£4.4m), which represents a mammoth 3233% increase.

Therefore, the Baggies deserve a huge amount of credit for bringing in such a talent on a free transfer and developing him into a top Championship player, who looks to have a bright future at the Hawthorns.
