يثق مهاجم منتخب ألمانيا الأول، توماس مولر، في قدرات زملاءه للتأهل إلى دور الـ16 من بطولة كأس العالم 2022 بعد الخسارة أمام اليابان والتعادل مع إسبانيا في الجولتين الماضيتين من مرحلة المجموعات.

ويعاني منتخب ألمانيا في تلك النسخة من كأس العالم التي تقام على أرض قطر، حيث لم تظهر الماكينات بالمستوى المطلوب تحت قيادة المدير الفني، هانزي فليك.

وتحدث مولر في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة “سبورت” الكتالونية، وقال: “سنتابع عن كثب المباراة الأخرى بالمجموعة (إسبانيا واليابان)، لكننا بكل تأكيد سنقدم كل ما لدينا أمام كوستاريكا”.

وتابع: “الفوز هدفنا، لكن نتيجة 8-0 قد تكون ممكنة ولكنها غير واقعية في كأس العالم، نحن المرشحون المفضلون للتغلب على كوستاريكا على الورق، يجب أن نفوز”.

وأضاف: “نحترم كوستاريكا كثيرًا، بعد كل ما شاهدناه أمام اليابان بعد الهزيمة أمام إسبانيا 7-0”.

وواصل: “بعد الهزيمة من اليابان، كنا بين المطرقة والسندان، لكن كانت هناك شرارة ترشدنا إلى التركيز الذي كنا نحتاجه، استطعنا تدارك الأمر أمام إسبانيا ونعلم إذا فزنا أمام كوستاريكا ستكون لدينا فرصة في التأهل”.

واستمر: “لقد تحسنا كثيرًا أمام إسبانيا، أعتقد أن لدينا فرصة للصعود، سنلعب من أجل الفوز أمام كوستاريكا التي كان فوزها أمام اليابان لصالحنا، ونجحنا أمام إسبانيا في التصدي لفرصهم وحصلنا على نقطة في النهاية”.

Agora, são dois os cenários possíveis. A defesa de Guerrero pede a absolvição total do atacante, liberando o peruano para defender o Flamengo de imediato – ele está inscrito na Copa Libertadores e tem contrato até 8 de agosto – e o colocando em condições de disputar o Mundial da Rússia por sua seleção.

No entanto, em março a Agência Mundial Antidoping (WADA) enviou apelação à Corte Arbitral do Esporte pedindo o aumento da pena de Paolo Guerrero para dois anos – período superior à primeira suspensão definida pela Fifa ao atleta, que depois, em dezembro, foi reduzida para seis meses.

Com a audiência marcada para o data final da suspensão de seis meses, não há mais chance do camisa 9 voltar a atuar pelo Rubro-Negro antes do previsto.

Paolo Guerrero foi flagrado no exame antidoping no dia 6 de outubro, em jogo das Eliminatórias Sul-Americanas para o Mundial da Rússia, entre Peru e Argentina. Em 3 de novembro, a Fifa o suspendeu preventivamente por 30 dias.

Em 8 de dezembro, a Fifa anunciou a suspensão do atacante por um ano e depois, em 20 de dezembro, reduziu o afastamento do atleta em seis meses, aceitando o recurso da defesa do jogador, que desde então tenta a absolvição.

Na terça-feira, dia 20 de março, Guerrero voltou ao Ninho do Urubu e reencontrou os companheiros de Flamengo. O atacante estava impedido de utilizar as instalações do clube e vinha mantendo a forma física na Argentina.

A liberação de Guerrero ao dia a dia do Flamengo estava prevista no Código Antidopagem da Fifa, que diz que o atleta “poderá regressar ao treinamento com uma equipe ou ao uso das instalações de um clube durante o último quarto do período de suspensão imposto, se este for inferior a dois meses”.
