علق سيد معوض مدرب منتخب مصر السابق، على أداء الفراعنة في مباراة نيجيريا التي أقيمت أمس، مشيرًا إلى أن الفراعنة ما زال لديهم فرصة للعودة.

منتخب مصر تعرض للهزيمة أمام نيجيريا بهدف نظيف في الجولة الأولى من بطولة كأس الأمم الأفريقية التي تقام في الكاميرون.

وقال معوض في تصريحات إذاعية عبر أثير راديو “ميجا إف أم”: “من المهم أن يعلم كيروش أنه أخطا، الفوز أمس كان سيجعلنا أول المجموعة، أرى أنه كان يفعل ذلك ويغير أماكن اللاعبين عندما يكون قد ضمن المركز الأول وهذه المباراة هي الأخيرة في دور المجموعات”.

وتابع: “كان من الممكن أن نعطي له أعذارًا في ذلك، وليس في أول مباراة مع أقوى منتخب في المجموعة وأجرب خلالها، وفريق نيجيريا ليس من الفرق الأقوى، ونجحوا في الفوز علينا وهم مستواهم ليس جيدًا”.

وأضاف: “فريق نيجيريا لو صعد لدور الـ 16 سيخرج من البطولة، والمشكله كانت لدينا في الملعب، لا نستطيع محاسبة أي لاعب ولا نقيمه، لأنهم ليسوا في مراكزهم، ووجهة نظري الشخصية أن كيروش لم يصل له أننا منتخب كبير، هو يعتقد أنه يعمل شيئًا جديدًا مع منتخب في بداية مشواره”.

وأكمل: “منتخب مصر لديه الإمكانيات للعودة مرة أخرى، وأمامنا مباراتان في المتناول”.

وأختتم: “يجب أن تكون المبارتان القادمتان إعدادًا جيدًا لدور الـ 16 من بطولة كأس أمم أفريقيا، لأن هذا الدور سيكون صعبًا وكل مباراة ستزداد صعوبة”.

Mesmo jogando fora de casa, o Atlético-GO não tomou conhecimento do adversário e aos 15 minutos Magno Cruz abriu o placar. O Brasil de Pelotas apostava nas jogadas aéreas, mas Klever estava atento e cortava as investidas dos gaúchos. No fim da primeira etapa o Dragão quase ampliou com Gilsinho, mas bola saiu sem perigo para o gol de Eduardo Martini. Antes do intervalo Klever ainda salvou o time visitante após finalização de Elias.

Os visitantes voltaram mais ligados para o segundo tempo e Alison quase ampliou de fora da área. O Brasil respondeu no lance seguinte com Ramon perdendo chance inacreditável. Os gaúchos até tentaram impor uma pressão, mas não foi suficiente para evitar a quebra de sua invencibilidade dentro de casa.

It’s been a tough season for Tottenham Hotspur summer signing Matt Doherty, and things went from bad to worse on Saturday evening.

The 29-year-old right-back joined from Wolves in a £15m deal and has struggled to live up to expectations, so much so that Serge Aurier and Japhet Tanganga have often been preferred by Jose Mourinho.

There have even been claims that the Portuguese boss is prepared to put the defender up for transfer in the summer should his form not vastly improve, as per ESPN’s senior writer James Olley.

It’s also suggested in that report that the Spurs boss has been seen berating Doherty for his performances at times, notably against Liverpool, in which they were defeated 3-1 at Anfield.

The international break was perhaps a nice opportunity for the Irishman to step back from Spurs duties and deliver a statement that he can still forge a career in north London.

But on a night the Republic of Ireland were embarrassingly beaten and many a Irish casino online was visited, Doherty’s struggles continued.

Stephen Kenny’s side were humiliated by Luxembourg in their second World Cup qualifier, meaning their hopes of making the 2022 edition are all but over already.

Aside from making 32 passes, you would’ve hardly noticed him on the pitch.

The latest knock could now add further salt to his wounds as game time may be harder to come by, having been restricted to only 15 league appearances this term.

Mourinho will surely be far from impressed with his nightmare evening and now the subsequent injury blow, too.

O JOGO

A partida começou bastante equilibrada, com as duas equipes brigando bastante pela posse de bola. Primeira boa chance foi para os colorados, com Moisés, que de cabeça colocou Kléver para trabalhar. Dragão encontrava bastante dificuldades para furar o bloqueio adversário. Primeira chance do alvinegro aconteceu no fim do primeiro tempo com Júnior Viçosa. Atacante chutou, Saulo defendeu e Maguinho tirou na linha do gol. Pouco depois, Viçosa carimbou o travessão do Vila Nova.

Treinadores mexeram nas equipes, mas jogo permanecia da mesma maneira após o intervalo, muita marcação e poucas chances de gol. Pelo lado do Atlético Goianiense, todas as boas oportunidades eram com Júnior Viçosa, dessa vez chute passou tirando tinta da trave. O Vila respondeu com Moisés, que de longe acertou a traave de Kléver.

Leicester City have reportedly made an offer to sign Florian Thauvin, according to Estadio Deportivo.

The report claimed that the East Midlands club offered him a four-year deal and a salary of €3.5m (£3m) per season, but Thauvin has not yet made a decision over his future at Marseille.

Tottenham Hotspur, AS Roma and Napoli are also closely following any further developments with the player, but it has not been ruled out that he may leave in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Brendan Rodgers’ team could do with a player like Thauvin in their ranks in order to boost the numbers in their squad for the 2021/22 season.

The 28-year-old has a lot of pedigree in the beautiful game, having won the World Cup with France back in 2018. He has been enjoying a good campaign so far, with no fewer than eight goals and a further nine assists in 37 games across all competitions (Transfermarkt).

Football legend Paolo Maldini described him as a ‘high level’ player back in November of last year, which is noteworthy praise given the Italian’s glittering CV.

Currently rated at £28.8m by Transfermarkt, the French winger is certainly a player who the Foxes should be looking at signing come the end of the season.

Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to a report on social media regarding the club’s summer plans.

According to The Telegraph, the Eagles are planning a £50m summer overhaul in the upcoming transfer window to take advantage of what will reportedly be a buyer’s market.

Palace spent just over £20m for the 2020/21 season, and it appears as if that will increase dramatically over the coming months.

The report also adds that Palace could still have to find a new manager for the 2021/22 season, with Roy Hodgson’s contract up at the end of the campaign.

Burnley’s Sean Dyche has been linked with a move to Selhurst Park in recent days. Palace officials have been in discussion with Hodgson over his future, however, a decision isn’t set to be made until the final few weeks of the season.
